and this was Ryan's fiRst time on a feRRis wheel. momentous, i know.

SUMMEr VISIT

heRe we aRe at eldRedge manoRwe stopped at zions on our way up noRth to hike angels landing
it's by faR my favoRite hike in the canyon. we would have done moRe but between
bad knees and blisteRs, i was finished.

this is Ryan by my favoRite paRt of the hike, a little star cut into the mountain.

i choose to believe that it was made by natuRal eRosion. choose.

i told Ry that to kids he isnt a peRson, he's a Ride.

aw. fat JAK. isnt he a doll. mom and i went to babysit one morning and he was so good.

not haRdly a peep. he just played nicely with his toys and let us spoil him with attention.

Ryan has been tRying to get out to suRf moRe often. foR me, this means getting up eaRly to Read. i dont Really swim and out in the ocean amidst the waves is not wheRe i want to leaRn but if theRe is going to be a tRip to the beach, im going to go. foRtunately Ry has some buddies that like to paddle out as well.

Bridals+Groom

well i keep tRying to upload moRe but bloggeR is being Really difficult foR some Reason. anyway, my awesome fRiend jon took us downtown (slc) so that we could get some bRidals and couple pictuRes done. he did an awesome job. cant wait to see what he does with the actual wedding!

Family and Food

my bRotheR, aaRon, and his lovely, julia, bRought JAK out to califoRnia foR a little celebRatoRy tRip (julia is gRaduating) and Ryan and i weRe lucky to be able to meet them in laguna beach foR dinneR. la casa del camino is a hotel and the RestauRant inside is a local favoRite and with good Reason. the food was fantastic! it was nice to hang out with family and so fun to see that big fat baby. what a doll. dont you just want to eat his cheeks?

they aRe foR suRe yum, but for some Reason (our bet is humidity) it takes foReveR foR them to set up heRe...... ...Ryan doesnt wait. go me! i made banana bRead foR the veRy fiRst time. unsupeRvised and successfully.

the Recipe didnt say anything about chocolate chips so i just assumed they weRe implied.

red-neck pizza

so maybe it's haRd to think of things to make foR dinneR, especially when it's time foR anotheR tRip to the gRoceRy stoRe. i said, "well, theRe's fRench bRead so let's make pizza....we've got cheese, sauce, onion, tomato and an avacado...that's it." Ryan shRugged, "we have hot dogs and lunch meat. let's just thRow that on theRe too." so is boRn the Red-neck pizza.

Ryan's fRiend, dane, was nice enough to come play photogRapheR foR us so that we could get some engagements done. gotta put something on the announcement.
