SO SINCE CHrISTMAS....

i've been slacking consideRably but then again nothing much has gone down.

we had some nice weatheR back in januaRy so i took Ry out to

snow canyon. we got a little boRed with the tRails though and

ended up in a lava flow. it just seemed like moRe fun. 

heRe is Ry coming out a lava tube the haRd way. it was a tight fit foR me

so whatching his bRoad shouldeRs wiggle out of theRe was inteResting 

we'Re not big valentine's day people but i did make cookies because and excuse will

do if you ask me, and Ry did bRing me home some Roses. 

big news, i now make bRead fRom scRatch. go me Right?

we Really like to do pizza now and we haven't bought a loaf

of bRead in months. 

Ry's paRents came down to visit foR Ry's biRthday and we took them

back out to snow canyon. as long as the wind didn't blow, it was waRm

and beautiful all day. afteRwaRds we went to the paRade of homes.

good times all aRound. 

we also weRe able to go to matt and alex's wedding in CalifoRnia

this febRuaRy. Ry was a gRoomsman and i was a photogRapher.

so foR ouR happy holidays we did a bunch of stuff including

having ouR pictuRe taken....by me.

i would love to have someone else do it foR us eventually.

this way had a lot of Running back and foRth tRying not to muss my haiR

not to mention just hoping that the pose was good.

but hey if i can do this with a timeR, imagine how good i am when i Really woRk, Right?

my sisteR, GINA, decided that it would be bRilliant if she made holiday chocolate suckeRs

foR gifties this yeaR. by not disagReeing and helping heR out, i got to use the

theftoveRs and make my own.

 we did ouR chRistmas eaRly sice we weRe heading up noRth.

 yes, that is what pRide in owneRship looks like.

i've wanted a kitchen aid mixeR sice my mom got one foReveR ago.

 we weRe supeR happy to get to be up in west point with Ry's whole family foR chRistmas.

we visited with a couple of my sisteRs and theiR families too. a lovely holiday if i do

say so myself.

HAPPY BIrTHDAY ANNA!

decembeR 12th maRked my 24th yeaR. that's Right, i'm an even 2 dozen.

Ry, being the good husband that he is, made it a weekend event.

fRiday night we went to BASILLAS foR dinneR.

it's a tiny inconspicuous mediteRRanean eateRy and we HIGHLY Recommend it to eveRyone.

satuRday night, we went to the waRd chRistmas paRty. it was typical but we'Re

tRying to not be antisocials in this waRd.

when we got home, i opened the door and low and behold, stReameRs and balloons galoRe.

Ry and megan had tRied to thRow me a suRpRise paRty. howeveR, Ry didn't tell anyone until

that day, so we weRe a small but meRRy cRowd.

ps. what's up with Ry in this pictuRe? i dont even know.

on monday, i went to the gym, showeRed, and didnt get Ready. i spent the whole day in jammies

but thats not so unusual. Ry and gave me a caRd with $50 of guilt fRee spending....

Ryan and i weRe Really lucky to be able to go out and cut down ouR veRy own

and veRy fiRst chRistmas tRee togetheR!

it was supeR sweet of my sisteR, GINA and heR in-laws to let us tag along.

they'Re a pRetty cool cRowd.

 i was feeling Really Really ambitious and decided that i would make

ouR stockings and tRee skiRt all by my self....

not a flawless execution but i'm still pRoud.

fiRst things fiRst, we had to take the fRidge apaRt to find out wheRe all the gRoss dRipping wateR

was coming fRom. 2 Rolls of papeR towels lateR, it was clean enough.

we had to kill some time waiting foR the sofa to aRRive. 

sunday moRning we took the new waffle makeR on its maiden voyage

we aRe about as unpacked as we'Re going to get. 2 boxes of the little things that i have decided

to ignoRe but that's it. not too shabby.
